Man assaulted walking along a Lincoln Road

(Lincoln, Del) - Delaware State Police are investigating the robbery of a pedestrian while he was walking along a roadway southeast of Lincoln.
It happened Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at approximately 9:47 pm, as a man was walking on Herring Branch Road near Oriole Lane. The man was approached from behind and struck in the back of the head, causing him to fall to the ground. Once on the ground, the suspect took the man's wallet before fleeing the area in an unknown direction. The victim was slightly injured and went to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
