Justice Randy Holland Retirement Celebration

A CELEBRATION OF THE DISTINGUISHED CAREER OF A DELAWARE JURIST. OUR JOHN BRADY REPORTS FROM REHOBOTH BEACH

Over two hundred lawyers , judges and other legal professionals gathered at the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club to honor Justice Randy Holland. Justice Holland retired from the Delaware Supreme Court in March after over thirty years of service. He also was active in the American Inns of Court, having served as National President of the Inns of Court Foundation

Justice Holland was the youngest person to serve on the Court. In his time on the Court he participated in over 2100 cases. Chief Justices Rehnquist and Roberts both appointed Justice Holland to Federal Advisory Committees on Appellate Rules

In every case Randy Holland had such a firm grasp of the issues and would lead the discussion on many ways and bring an institutional memory from his years on the Court That was indispensable
He is going to be missed and is a great jurist of all time for Delaware"

Several speakers including retired Chancellor Bill Chandler brought up memories of Justice Holland's work and legal career before his work on the Court
He is resuming practice with an International law firm with offices in Delaware
