(REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.) - Bettenroo is a local band gaining popularity across Delmarva. The music group just released their new CD at the Rehoboth Beach VFW.

People who came out were pretty excited about the release. "We're watching Bettenroo. They're great, they're great!" said Rina Pellegrini from Rehoboth Beach.

Auxiliary members say they have never seen an event like this before.

"Not quite like this, we didn't know what to expect," said Bob McGinnis.

That's because the VFW partnered with the band to host the launch party and to raise money. Post Leaders say any additional money raised from the party goes to various shelters in Sussex County.

"And everything we get in, we pay our bills, and everything else goes to the community, charity, or veterans charities," added Bob.

The VFW invited local artisans to come out and sell their goods during the party.

"And I'm gonna make a couple bucks, support Lori and Anne, and have fun," said Regina Hebert, a supporter and artisan.

Auxiliary members and much of the local community packed the VFW to grab a bite, have a drink, take part in raffles, shop, and listen to a local band rock 'n roll.

"It's nice I've never been in here. I think we invaded their space though, but they seem happy to have us," added Rina.

Bettenroo hopes to make the fundraising festivities an annual event at the Rehoboth Beach VFW.
